The Blue Mountains, Lithgow and Oberon Festival of Walking�is a celebration of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage region, good health and history.
The Festival is a celebration of the beauty of nature, the health and well being benefits of walking, acknowledgement of Aboriginal custodianship and culture and homage to the history, heritage and conservation of this special region.
Featuring a range of walks from hard core wilderness treks to gentle street strolls in the fashions of yesteryear. Participants will improve their wellbeing with a selection of walks to choose from across the 8 days of the festival within a region that features hundreds of kilometres of hand carved tracks into forests, ferneries and more.
In addition to feature events, there will also be many daily walks, fringe events, a special 3 day trek, fashion and photographic exhibitions.
Put your boots on for the Blue Mountains Lithgow and Oberon Tourism Festival of Walking, from 8th-15t hOctober 2011, across locations throughout the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area.
