Down South Festival
What? Down South Festival is conducted annually, on the second weekend in November. The festivals are an eclectic mix & adventure through music, song, dance, poetry & dynamic arts. Emerging & recognised artists from far & wide participate in the performing arts festival.�Performances & workshops are held in marquees, providing shade & shelter for artists & patrons.
Where?Down South Festival is conducted in Albany, Western Australia, located 420km south of Western Australia's capital city, Perth.
Cradled between Mt Melville & Mt Clarence, Albany City overlooks Princess Royal Harbour to the spectacular rugged south coast, where sheer granite cliffs plunge deep into the Southern Ocean. Pristine sandy white beaches, popular with surf riders & fishing enthusiasts are easily accessible, some just minutes from Albany's city heart. The Stirling Range & Porongurup National Parks compliment Albany with its agricultural hinterland & are great day trip destinations for those who enjoy bushwalking, exploring & fresh country air.
