Featured Artist- San Cisco
Playing Falls Festival 28th Dec - 1st Jan
As far as spectacular rises to power go, it's hard to beat the San Cisco story. Touted as a 'band to watch' last year after the release of their debut single Golden Revolver, the Fremantle based 4-piece then casually whipped out a little ode to stalking called Awkward. It was around that time that, to put it lightly, things got very, very real. The song (and its accompanying cute-as-a-button clip) raced around the airwaves and earned San Cisco a starring role on the iPod of every indie music lover in the country and, eventually, a spot at number 7 in last year's triple j Hottest 100. They then became the darlings of the festival and pub circuits – selling out shows wherever they went on the back of Awkward and another uber-catchy tune Rocket Ship (you know the one - “ooh la la la, ooh la la la la”). As they head overseas to conquer America and Europe, the lads and lass have just whipped out a new single – the more mature but no less earwormy Wild Things which will no doubt propel them further into the stratosphere as will their debut album San Cisco being released November 23!
