Kimberley Writers Festival
The Kimberley Writers Festival celebrates the written and creative word in Kununurra in the East Kimberley.
Each year writers, illustrators and musicians are invited to participate in the event, which attracts locals, people living in remote areas, and many visitors.
The Kununurra Community Library is the very proud host of the festival. The Kimberley Writers Festival welcomes the local community and visitors to join with 10 visiting artists (professional authors, songwriters and musicians) and local Indigenous storytellers and authors to engage with books, reading, storytelling, creative writing, illustrating, music and song writing.
When? In 2011 the festival was 29th-30th-31st July.
