Shepparton Art Festival
SheppARTon Festival has been successfully staged every year (1997-2011) and is regarded as a 
major calendar event within regional Victoria. It demonstrates that the region can successfully and enthusiastically support an event of this nature, as well as project itself into the broader context of other regional festivals. The diverse program achieves a balance between the innovative and the mainstream in a way that was calculated to appeal to a wide audience. There is an emphasis on mixing community created arts with professionally produced and performed work. In particular, the SheppARTon Festival has been successful in bringing professional artists to work with community groups in the development of new work, and this has ensured some durability of the SheppARTon Festival outcomes.
2012 Festival
The 2012 SheppARTon Festival proudly supported by La Trobe University will present an exciting array of cultural and artistic experiences to entertain and excite you over the long weekend in March.
The festival provides free events and ticketed performances reasonably priced to bring an accessible cultural feast to the Goulburn Valley. The program for the 2012 event is being developed in response to the theme of 'Brave Voices'.
The 2012 SheppARTon Festival theme 'Brave Voices' pays tribute to those who protect us in times of need; the people who give a voice to the less privileged, the volunteers who fight on behalf of others. It celebrates the brave who stand forward to bond a community together.
